Week #77 Slagelse

Familie!!! WILLIAM was baptized on Saturday and confirmed yesterday!! It was so sick to be apart of! And no worries with the health! The excersises are working magic so no worries there!!

Williams Dåb

So William got baptized on Saturday and it was a great experience! Almost the whole ward was there and there was a lot of missionaries there and it was a way spiritual service! William asked Elder Erickson to baptize him because he is probs transfering next week and I gave him the gift of the Holy Ghost yesterday. After he got baptized he raised his hands in the air and shoutouted to joy to everyone there!! He is such a stud and I am so blessed to help him on the strait and narrow path back to our Heavenly Father!! We snatched a whole lot of pics so no worries there. ;) After that we had a lunch and then waited for the Nykøbing Elders baptism where JP from Peru and Kristine got baptized! That was the first baptism in that little branch in a while and TWO got baptized! So that was sick to see. Then after we celebrated by playing soccer with some missionaries and some members in the rain which was so fun!! Then it got too dark so we played some ping pong! Then on Sunday I got the privilege to give William the Holy Ghost! It was way cool I Never have done it before and I felt like i was in this spiritual bubble. We have a little squad going in Slagelse with a couple young adults and Will I Am!!!! We taught William the Restoration again on Friday before his baptism and it was a pretty dang spiritual lesson! This guy was so prepared. He is literary the definition of those who are looking for the truth but did not know where to find it! He was so prepared and is such a stud! He is definatly going to be a life long friend!!

Other Friends

So I know the hype is all around William's baptism but we still taught some other bros this week as well! So on Tuesday we went on splits with the Tåstrup Elders and I went on splits with Elder Tank Erickson. We taught I in Korsør and it went way well! We talked about baptism and the Holy Ghost, a little about the apatasy, and child baptism. I asked if believed the Book of Mormon to be true and she said yes and I asked if Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and she said yes just like Abraham, Adam, and Moses! So I invited her to pray to see if Jesu Kristi Kirke af Sidste Dages Hellige is the same church Jesus Christ had when he was on the earth and a baptismal date will be coming this week! ;) And the other Elders taught and dropped M so I guess that is that for him... He did invite us for breakfast this Saturday to say bye to Elder Erickson because the scheme is he is peacing out but who knows! Then we took some pics in the ocean which was SO cold but Elder McBride who is going home in a week made us do it and act like it is summer so you are welcome for the pics mom! ;) We taught some other bros this week but I am too lazy to write about all of them haha BUT we ate at a member from Tahitti last Friday! Shout out to Jonathan! He made us some Tahittian street food and it was way clutch! I just asked him all about Tahitti and about missionary work there because he served there to get a little scoop in Jonathans mission. It sounds sweet haha and if you are wondering he met his Danish wife at BYU Hawaii!

ZONE FIRE

So we had FOUR baptisms in the zone this last weekend and that has never happened before! And we still have 10 friends on date in the zone which is so incredible! We had zone training last Wednesday in Roskilde which was pretty fire! It was on less active work and newly baptized work and we delegated a lot and it was way spiritual. Elder Erickson and I talked about the parables in Luke 15 of the lost sheep and the prodigal son and we had a couple missonaries share their testimonies of miracle reactivation stories! Then we gave the rest of our time to our dope mission leader to train us on the new key indicators and how to get someone on date! And it worked because two days later three people where put on date in the zone!! We are leading the mission by far and everyone around the mission is noticing. Elder Bennet told us that our schemes are working haha!! I hope Elder Erickson and I go another just because of the insane success we have seen together but who knows!!!!

Yea that was the Gavnø castle in Næstved! And like i said my health is 100 percent! Didn't have to sleep extra once this week! And that is crazy another high school will be built! Do you know when it will be finished?? That is so SICK BYU beat Gonzaga!!! Haha now i can talk crap to Matthew!!! haha! ;) And it was a good run for sure for ML basketball and Zach attack! I bet they make it next year for sure! And that is peferfectly fine with the samler Infinite Atonement Book!! LOVE you guys so much!!!!

Week #76 Slagelse

Faktisk Rimelig Nemlig....  That would be the three words for the week because that is all we say with Bishop and his family haha. Bishop told me that I should teach this American Danish to the new missionaries in the MTC so we will see ;)

Slagelse Mobbing

So our homie W is getting baptized on Saturday and we are way pumped!! He is way pumped and the ward is way pumped so it is way good stuff!! We taught William this week on temples, family history and the priesthood and he is just taking it all in it is so awesome to be apart of his journey!! We played basketball with him on Wednesday and soccer with him on Saturday so he is doing great! I will definately take a bunch of pics at the baptism so it will be good! Other good stuff is we taught M and it went good. He has been reading a lot of the Book of Mormon and is at the end of 2 Nephi and is finding a lot of great scriptures so he is doing great! T is doing good he is coming to W baptism! We taught A again and she said her heart is too locked to pray to ask God if he is there... and she said she will never come to church and she said if she starts coming to church every week her friends would make fun of her... #danishculture We taught K and O finally and they are doing fine. They wont quit smoking because it helps them lose weight... And we took our boy F to Carls Jr. because he wa having problems with the girlfriend so we came in clutch there!

So the Book of Mormon challenge is going alright I think... our zone is just teaching people so we dont have all the time in the world to find new people which is a good thing. That is crazy Gonzaga is still killing it! And that is dope we made it to state again! Well that is all i got this week love you guys!!

Week #75 Slagelse

Hej familie!! So Elder Erickson and I got hit with the plague or something this week because we were literrary sick for the WHOLE week... haha we had the flu and we went crazy but no worries we are alive again!! But i dont have too much to write about today ;)

The Struggle

Well shout out to having Vertigo for many moons ago so I know how to entertain myself just being in a missionary apartment for a long stretch of time! Our week consisted of sleeping, ranting on the strangest topics, eating kebabs and all other sorts of unhealthy food and sleeping some more. But on the positive side Elder Erickson and I had some pretty deep deep doctrine talks haha! Oh and we did against all odds manage to teach the home boy W!! He is doing fire as always!! We got kebabs with him on Wednesday because we needed to get out of our apartment! Then we taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then he told us he found some anti doctrine but we destroyed that concern way quick! ;) It was just about the Book of Mormon and then I gave him the talk by Tad R. Callister the Book of Mormon Man made or God given which helped him even more!! And after District Meeting and more kebabs :) on Thursday he passed his baptisimal interview and then because we were sick and he was kind of sick we just went to his flat and watched Mormon messages for days! Oh and W went to Sweeden this last weekend for a YSA Valentines day festival! So we would say that is a pretty genious way of getting him tight with the members ;) And hopefully a mormon girlfriend out of it too... wait what!! haha! Oh and we also managed to eat home made pizza with another bro in the ward and got a lot of questionable marriage advice from the member, Elder Erickson and the sisters comnbined lol!! Oh and we had three friends in church inspite of being dead zombie fools all week!! YEET!!

Haha i probs wont be a ballroom dancer sorry to kill your dreams mom.... Oh and i forgot the zone has 11 bros on date which is nuts and more then half in the mission and at least half of them are getting dunked this transfer!! So sick everyone is way hyped and we promised the zone pastries if they can get five more on date by next zone training which is in 10 days! And the elders in Nykøbing have a bro who is getting baptized in two weeks and he grew up in Peru and then moved to Germany and we get to interview him for baptism on Saturday so shout out to you guys and your missions!! And of course i haven't got in trouble haha no worries about Elder Reed! I am an angel ;) The snow is almost gone and i am eating healthy so no worries! I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week #74 Slagelse

Hahahha!! I will get into the reason why i have a pastry smashed into my face in a little bit... But this week was yet again another fire week here in Slagelse!!

Friends

So we were so busy this week that we didn't even have time to stop by all of our friends that we have!! But I will dive in with W. So W is so fire!! He is such a stud!! We have never taught anyone more golden then him! So we taught him Monday night about prophets and started to help him gain a testimony of Thomas S. Monson. It was probably the best prophet lesson Elder Erickson and I have ever had! We were inspired to share Dare to Stand Alone talk by Thomas S Monson and it was exactly what W needed at the time! He really was alone because he couldn't party with his friends anymore or drink coffee with them so he was way pumped for that. Then we taught him on Friday about tithing and fasting. It was such a good lesson again and he said he was expecting to pay and that he already looked at his economy and can totally pay it without a doubt! Such a stud! And he even fasted with us on Sunday! And we played soccer with him on Saturday and then made my bbq pizza special and it gets better! On Sunday he bore his conversion story and told the ward he is getting baptized and some more members came up and bore their stories. It was an incredible sacrement meeting fore sure! All the members came up to him after and fellowshipped him real good ;) Then we taught M, or M taught us this week. We had him teach us about grace and it was pretty good. He used some Bible scriptures and even used 2 Nephi 25 23 so that was sweet! Then we taught T about the POS and he is actually progressing! He is actually listening to us and asking us great questions! That is a testimony to me to see the potential in others! We taught P from the Ivory Coast and she thinks we just worship the Book of Mormon so we gave her a chapter out of the Bible to read to switch things up a bit! We taught A out in Korsør a little from the POS and K who is a Christain Buddhist mix if that is possible.... haha it was a pretty chill week!!

Zone Træning

So we had zone traning this week in Roskilde which is right between Slagelse and Copenhagen. So the first part was the training from Elders Oaks, Bednar, Andersen and the others and the key indicator change and the schedule change. Then Elder Erickson and I got to give a Book of Mormon training because we are going to try to give out 2000 copies of teh Book of Mormon out as a mission. So we had a little role play where Elder Erickson stopped me and said hi do you want this pastry and then slammed it in my face hahahaha! Everyone loved it! Then he did it again and used energy and was outgoing and we related it to that when you give out the Book of Mormon you can't just slam it in ones face.. you have to bring energy and present it well! And the Zone is doing great! We have 8 friends on date which is incredible and it is just going awesome!!

So that was my good friend Elder Nielsen with the bunny ears in the pic at MLC and know we didn't have our clothes like that on purpose for MLC... haha but for zone training we did because it just seemed like a brilliant idea haha! And that looks like so much snow!!! It actually is snowing right now for the first time in like three months lol! And like everyone texted us about the Superbowl... that is so crazy with that come back!! Good thing I will never miss a Superbowl again!! And that is crazy Gonzaga is ranked number 1!! Lets go! And the sisters were on a temple trip in Copenhagen and got my package!! Thanks so much! And thanks for your conversion story mom! That was amazing!!!!!! Love You!!

Week #73 Slagelse

Start of another transfer here in the great land of Slagelse!! And the fire is still rolling!!

Friends

So our area is cruising right now and we love it! We literarry have no time to find! So Monday we ate with K again at the same members house and we have been trying to make an appoitment with her but we keep on getting busy or she gets sick... On Tuesday we taught M with a less active member. The lesson was all over the place i dont even know what to say... we talked about prophets, receiving revalation, the holy ghost... It was way weird because the member said we were being too pushy by inviting him to read the Book of Mormon... Just a big question mark lesson. Then we taught T down in Næstved again and had a way fire lesson with him! We taught about justice and mercy and he really wants to hear the Plan of Salvation! Then later that night we taught W with a member who we are way tight with in the ward who served in South Africa! We taught him the word of Wisdom and it went so gooood!! We read D and C 89 and focused a lot on the promised blessings. He really likes sport and i told him that i have kept the word of wisdom my whole life and i have never broken any bones or anything and he really liked that. He said that he always tried to keep the Word of Wisdom in the past but when his friends asked him why he won't drink he never had an answer... but now he does!! Then after the lesson W and M showed us way funny vines when me and Elder Erickson were home and died laughing!! Probably the funniest moment of my mission! Then Wednesday after District Meeting we had splits with Nykøbing and I went with Elder Allred from my MTC group and we just talked how our group was so legendary and funny stories from it. We taught I again. She is 85 and we read 3 Nefi 11 and I asked her if Mormons Bog is true and she said yes.. so i asked if Joseph Smith was a prophet and she said yea... So then Elder Allred asked her if she would be baptized and she said noooo! She doesn't really understand authority adn just pushes it to the side when we bring it up! So we will see with her. Then we taught a less active couple T and R and it was chill I guess. We got to know them and then asked to share a spiritual thought and then i was going to share a Mormon message and right before i played it i asked if they can understand English... .and they say noo.. so I quickly busted out the scriputers to give them the same message and then i asked them to read and they had trouble reading... awkward but we brought the spirit so it was ight anyways!! Then on Friday we taught C and S who are coming back to church. We had a throw down W of W lesson with them because that is the only thing holding them back! C said he will stop smoking after his birthday in a couple weeks and we busted out don't procrastinate the day of your repentance! And they have a grandson whose name is B who loves coming to church and could be baptized soon!! Then we had sports on Saturday!! THANK GOODNESS!! Haha it has been too long! So we played indoor soccer and a little basketball it was way fun! Then after we taught W the law of chasty and he told us he knew the change was coming so no worries there! We taught M again that night and shared His Grace is Sufficienct by Brad Wilcox. Then Sunday came and we had four friends in church! All of the members thought W was a missionary because he was wearing a Hugo Boss suit haha! So much swag!! Then we weekly planned and if you guys can remember that story of the people who invited us to dinner on Christmas out of no where... well one of them invited us over to watch handball and made us an old school Danish dish! So we got to learn the game of handball and watch the world cup final! It was way cool! Then we asked her at the end if she would like to hear the lessons and she said yes! So that was sweet!

MLC and Zone Lord Stuff!!

So me and Elder Erickson have been scheeming what we wanted to focus on as a zone this transfer to build off of the church invited goal. So we prayed and after a lot of schemeing and of course inspiration, we came up with this. So as a mission there could possibly be a Book of Mormon goal of giving out 2000 so our zone would give out 450. That would lead to 60 people in church which would lead to 15 on date and 5 of them baptized this transfer. We would also make a prayer list so that every morning and evening the whole zone would pray for everyone on date and everyone close and pray for more baptisms. We introduced this to the two districts this week and they were way stoked for it! Then comes the even cooler part... we set this goal before we knew the Brothern were going to make the key indicator change!!! So that is a testimony to me that this goal was truly inspired of God!! Quick story so after we presented the goal to to KBH district we were stuck in København until MLC so we had to go on splits with the office Elders. So me and Elder Shuppy were together when teh APS call us to tell us to meet them at their investigators apartment for a last minute service project. So we get there and they are not there and they investigator is an older woman from Greece who was a little crazy haha! She found this fridge in this storage place and made us carry it up like four flights of stairs... found out it didn't work... and then carried it down again... haha me and Elder Shuppy were ragging but when i go on splits with the Aps in the future she said she will make me dinner! So MLC was way fun! There was so many of my good mission buddies there! It was way clutch to catch up with Elder Bennet and Elder Nielsen! So what we talked about at MLC was the key indicator change, the schedule change, working with less actives, and helping members use facebook to spread the gospel to their friends! It was way fun then after we met up with W because he studies in København and he took us around Støjet and Ny Havn and we saw the little Merimaid! Way fun day!

So zone træning is on Wednesday in Roskilde and we are training for like 15 minutes about the new Book of Mormon goal and we have to answer all of the questions the zone has for the new schedule change, wish us luck haha! No way Rudy got baptized that is so sick!! And so that will be what our zone training will be on and the more flexible schedule will be pretty clutch. And we will watch that devotional for zone training this week as well :) And that is crazy Gonzaga is ranked third in the nation! Well fam i love you guys and remember to open that Book of Mormon every day!! ;)

Week #72 Slagelse

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I died when i read that first sentence! But me and Elder Erickson are going another one and we have a baptism in a couple weeks!!!!!!! Can life get any better???

Zone FIRE

So just a real quick update on the zone goal we had 14 friends in church as a zone yesterday which put the total to 74 which is about ten more then the last two transfers combined!!!! So sick!! And we have six friends on date in the zone so we are seeing the fruits from it!!!

Slagelse Magic

So I said we have a friend getting baptized in a month but i will get back to that ;)

So Monday insisted eating at Anny and Leo's house again like normal and K and O were there again. It was hard to teach them this week because K was sick but we had a stellar time with them. Then we had FHE with some of the younger bros in the ward and played a minature foosball game and some other board games so that was dope!

Then Tuesday we took J who put in his mission papers down to Næstved and we taught T and we talked about Christ and he just can't get over the fact that Christ performed the Atonement. We shared in Alma 7 I think.... that the spirit manifested that Christ did all those things for the people then and they could do they same for him! So we commited him to pray to ask God if God loves him and promised him that God cannot deny his love for him. Then we taught K who is pretty dope as well! She has an allergic reaction to her clothes so she usually only wears a towel around in the house... but don't worry mom... she had clothes on just for us!! haha! We taught her the Restoration and the spirit was soooo strong it was incredible! Then we taught M who got baptized a couple months ago and read Alma 40 with here and talked about the POS because she had a scare and almost died but she is doing great now! It was way cool to take J out with us it reminded me of when i always mobbed out with the misisonaries! Good stuff!

Wednesday was a good day as well! We taugh I who is 85 but she looks amazing!! She has read all the way to Alma 41 and LOVES the Book of Mormon! She is just scared that if she changes her religion that she would be too stressed and die or something... But she knows it is true so we will see if we can put her on date! Then i was sick again... so we stayed inside until Ms! We ate with the sisters and had a great time! He foound the best moments from General COnference and showed us! It was awesome! Oh and i guess i am getting pretty bad at english because when we were cutting the pie I didn't have the pie cutter and I asked a sister to pass me the tools! Haha they made sure i never forget that one and M said out of all the missionaries that get sent all over the world I got sent to him hahaha it was so funny!

Then that takes us to Thursday where we had district meeting and a district activity where we ate a huge lunch and played Mofia so that was really fun! Then we had to fix the sisters bike and do zone reports. Then we picked up the APs for splits! They are way solid guys and we had a way chill time!

On Friday we taught Anitta who hates the seahawks and we taught her a pretty good first lesson with a little oppostition explanation twist! Then we went down with the Aps to Næstved and taught M again because Elder Murphy and Hartmann helped baptize her! Then me and Elder Hartmann taught F who is a young bro who said if he found out this was true that that would mean he is a part of something bigger. It was the Danish soccer team's slogan but it is way true and a dope answer. Then we taught A who is another old lady and she reads the Book of Mormon every night and is in 3 Nephi now! Amazing! She hasn't prayed about it yet so we challenged her to do that! Then we went to Fs who was baptized by Elder Murphy and Elder Hartmann knows him so we stopped by and we watched the inaguration with him haha! Wasn't apostate because we had the Aps with ;) Trumps speech was pretty fire and he threw in a bible scripture which was pretty sick!

Then Saturday consists of weekly planning and having a ward movie night where we watched Joseph Smith Prophet of the Restoration and M came! I love that movie almsot makes me cry!
Then here comes the baptism talk.... SO the sisters are leaving and we were talking to one of their investigators W, last Sunday during our lunch after church about sports and music and everything possible and somehow it came up that he wants us to teach him when the sisters leave and we were like that sounds dope!!! So we are teaching him now! So W is 24 and is half Cambodian half Danish is going to school in Copenhagen for sports medicine and is such a bro! The sisters contacted him which was a miracle story itself because they were going to an appointment and W is trying to find himself in life. Well he is on date after two weeks and LOVES reading the Book of Mormon and is such a bro! So after the movie night we went to get kebabs with him and he bought us kebabs!! Then we just broed and he asked if we had girls back at home and how we keep the law of chasity and he really wants to get married and start a family and we taught him about temples and he lost his mind when he saw the size of them! And we told him about Fest i Nord and he lost his mind again haha and he wants to marry a Mormon Sweedish girl now :) Haha

Then we had church on Sunday and after church we had an official hand off lesson with Sister Dietch and Jex and it was way powerful! We taught him the Plan of Salvation and I really focused the true meaning of happiness and me and Elder Erickson kept bringing up the bros we baptized in Odense and how they changed through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how the Atonement changed them and W said he has been changed and he said people are noticing!! I love this gospel so much it works miracles!! Then we went to Roskilde because there was a missionary homecoming and Elder Erickson ate lunch with this missionary in his home town before his mission so they invited us over for the party!

No way school was cancelled 4 days because of the weather! There will be less summer break if that continues!! I love you family have a great week!!!!
