Week #103 Svendborg

This was the most incredible week of my mission.... I dont even know Where to begn but the Lord is blessing me so much. Mirakler happen. All i can say is i am so grateful i am still on my mission

Where to begin....

Well this week was crazy! First i was on splits with elders  preece and savaiano and that was way fun!

Monday Night we taught Michael and Gitte and that sent way well and then we ate with Lan le haha and we sang some karaoke.

Then Tuesday we built or helped ken Hall build a roof so that was intense. Then a way cool miracle. I was at cuv and a guy was looking for me. He Said his friend Monique Said that he should talk to me to gain a faith in Jesus Christ. So right there while everyone was eating Their spaghetti i taught this way dope bro the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we are meeting with him in a couple weeks and shout out to monique for hooking it up with a referal even before she is baptized!

Then Wednesday morning at 5 Bright and early we took the train and went to Pick up our søns! I Got a leak before i got there that i would get elder Wright and that he is a way solid elder. Well it came to pass! I gave him a sweet floral tie and that is Where the legacy of Reed and Wright began. So elder Wright came from Layton Utah and is a wizard at the bagpipes and saxophone and he played football and ran track. We get along so well and he is already doing work! Some highlights would be that we have not had time to do all of our studies everyday because we have been too busy teaching bros!

The biggest miracle of my mission happened on Thursday. After teaching like three lessons in the morning we got a Call from Lan le saying that she taught her niece Anja and she wants to be baptized in Denmark where all of her family are members. And she goes back to Germany on next Thursday so she would have to be baptized and confirmed here in Denmark Saturday and Sunday. And Anja came to Church last year in Denmark and tank and Theo taught her. So i called prez and he Said that that probs will not happen it is too fast. So we go to teach Anja and we pretty much overview everything. Then we go through the baptismal questions and she has a strong testimony on the book og mormon and that she is a daughter of god. So we Call Prez and tell him that she is ready. So we contact ken and tell him we have a Day to plan a baptism! And keep in mind that this is elder wrights first full Day in his first area. We Got hyped and stoked out of our minds. To say the least.

Friday was a good Day. Full of appointments and we taught Michael and Gitte and they gave us bacon hot dogs which were good schemes. They really want to be baptized. Then we taught Nikoline and read from Alma 34 and she understood everything and she is ready to be baptized. Her interview is next week. And we taught Anja in the morning and are with Lan le! So it has been pretty crazy!

Saturday the first ward elders had a baptism and i got to see far Lars and Teresa from my first area! So good to see them! Then we had Annas baptism and i baptize her! That was way cool! Then elder tank erickson was with because he taught her last year so we taught Michael after the baptism just tank and i just like the old times. We set a date for him and Gitte to get married and a date for them to be baptized! Then Michael Said he will throw away all of his cigarettes when he gets home and we gave him a blessing to help with that. I was thinking after, i could have been home for all of this and i am so grateful i stayed! The things i have experienced this last weekend are irreplaceable.

Then elder wrights first Sunday in Denmark he Got to confirm Anja as a member of the Church. What a way to start a mission. Incredible. And to top it OFF some American's came and gave us root beer and American cereal. So many blessings! 

I talked with Monique on the Phone yesterday and she is way stoked for her baptism! So i probably get to baptize her in the Baltic sea!! It Will be so cold!!! I am so stoked for it!!

Training is going so well! Again Elder Wright is a stud. If this was an English speaking mission he could train right now! So cool! So Michael and Gitte and their son did not make it to church this week because they got strep throat... but please keep on praying for them! Lasse is a big question mark. I think i wont focus too much more time with him. And another friend i taught in fredericia is on date now which is dope but I don't know if they will make their date.... Crazy Kenny and Dallin made it back!! So cool! I saw Ken Halls daughters homecoming talk yesterday which made me a little trunky because I could have given mine yesterday but don't worry I am balling out to the end! :D And i have been finding some way sweet deals!!! And I will try to keep all my suitcases under 50 pounds so I don't have to pay for the overweight fees. And the mission does pay for my traveling fees so that is good but I have to pay for my way over to Slagelse for the baptism. So i am good with that! And we can renew my license after we get back from Utah. And i got my recommend renewed by President the other day. I love you guys so much! I love serving the Lord and representing Jesus Christ everyday! This has been the best experience EVER!!! And i love you guys sooooo much!!!!

Week #102 Svendborg

Last transfer is beginning!! I am way stoked to train finish out in Svendborg! I do not have too much time so this one will be short... Sorry mom ;)

This week was way fire!! So we found like 7 new friends this week and we have a baptism coming up next Tuesday! So Ken Hall called us one day and said he was going to stop by this couple who my olds comps Elder Tank Erickson and soon to be brother Mike Howe on Thanksgiving when they went out and asked people if they could eat dinner at the door step. Pretty insane story. anyways the fam set a baptismal date for the end of august but has not been down to meet with the missionaries. So Ken knocked on their door and set up an appoitment for us. We end up teaching them the next three days in a row and they are going for the 29th of August to get baptized! Their names are Michael and Gitte. They are way dope bros! They know the church is true and they just have to quit smoking and with their faith anything is possible! They came to church this week and loved it! And they love Tank Erickson so they always call him and he teaches them and so Tank and I have been updating each other and just teach off of what we teach Michael and Gitte so that is dope! And they came to church and brought their 15 year old son who LOVES soccer so we had a way good chat. ;) So we will see if the bro wants to get baptized with his family too! Then we taught Lasse. The bro is going ight but it is definately a slow procress to help the bro progress. We taught Nikoline who wants to get baptized in a couple weeks which went way well. We read 3 Nephi 11 and she is digging it and really wants to get baptized! And she is an expert with paintball so that is good schemes haha! Other than that we have been teaching all the time and finding so many new people who want to talk with us just along the way so life is very good! 

So i got nothing new from Fredericia... but Chiny who I put on date in Copenhagen came to church yesterday. And I think Monique is still good for the second of September so I am stoked for that. And health is good now. Elder Merrill and I caught a pretty bad cold but we are surviving now! And wow... crazy the whole squad is home.. And that is awesome to hear about everyones missions and stuff. It was sad to say goodbye to my MTC group last night! I talked to Elder Howe for like an hour and a half last night and we just talked about our times in Herning and Taastrup. Way good bro. And Elder Hager is coming to visit Svendborg when he comes back like next week!!! And the summer sales are finishing up here so i got to hurry and get everything when it is on good sale. :D And I am almost done with the BYU essays so i will send you them next week probably! 

I am so stoked to train this last transfer! And the Lord has really blessed my area and them who I have worked with!! Love you guys!!!

Week #101 Svendborg

HEYO!! Another miracle filled week finding lots of new bros, getting an old friend on date, and having a baptism!! Time is flying even faster! 

Svendborg Flowing!

So lets just start with Monday! We have been so busy that we had to weekly plan on monday and take an essentials P day. THen we went to eat at Lan Les home with the Odesne 2 sisters and the Odense 1 Elders and Jonathan. Jonathan got interviewed by Elder Preece and then after we did some kareoke and it was so legendary haha! We jammed to some danish worship songs which was way fun! A kind of crazy thought we had a lady from Vietnam, sisters from Sweeden and Tonga, a guy from Peru and a couple Americans all jaming out to songs in Danish. Way cool.

Then Tuesday I went on splits with home boy elder preece who got trained by elder Erickson. We had a way solid day! We had a little miracle. So we were going to teach Lasse but the bro lives in Faaborg which is like a 45 minute bus ride away. So we were deciding if we should bring our bikes or not... But it really wouldn't make sense because he lives like two minutes from the bus stop. So i prayed really quick if we should and i got a strong confirmation that I should take the bike with. so we did. So we sit down and teach Lasse and then a guy knocks on his door and says that they have an appointment. so we had to bounce for a couple hours and if we didn't have our bikes we would have been wrecked! So we biked to this complex to do some stop bys and right when we were about to walk in an opgang we spotted a bro from Greenland who was about to jump on his bike. I look at Elder Preece and ask him if we should talk to him and immediately we turn around to talk to him and he turns out being from Nepal and we teach him about the book of Mormon and he wants us to come back and teach his fam of four! Big miracle.  Then it gets better. We bike back to Lasses, teach him the gospel of Jesus Christ and ask him if he wants to get baptized on the 9th of September and the bro shakes our hands and says Ja Tak! So that was dope! Then we biked back ate kebabs and then Elder Merrill and I taught Nikoline who is a 20 year old Dane who owns a bunch of candy stores and is completely normal! She has a baptismal date of the 2nd of September and we taught her about prayer and read in the book of Enos. Then we taught home boy Jonathan and just read from the Book of Mormon with him.

Wednesday we got contacted by two way old Danish ladies who got way stoked that we could speak Danish. They tried speaking English to us and bless their hearts haha! But they are way Christian and they want to learn more about the church so that was chill! They did say we would be better friends if they were 50 years younger.... JANK!!!!! Then we did some knocking at a place where young college students live and gooned way hard with them! Then we ate with Solvej who Tank Erickson found and she is way dope! We gooned way hard and she said it was hard to understand the Book of Mormon to read it so we are going to help her with that.

We took the rest of P day on Thursday up in Odense before district meeting and went to a shopping center where they had way good sales! I dropped on some way nice shoes that where like 70 dollars off! Mom you would be way proud! :D Then we had district meeting and went back to Svendborg and taught Jan, the Pentecostal bro! He is a talker for sure haha! Then we read with Jonathan again.

Friday we read with Jonathan in the morning then got some more things ready for the baptism. Then we went up to Odense to a baptism for home boy Thorbjørn who i met a couple  times before. He is a young bro and he is way dope!!

Then that brings us to Saturday! Lan Le picked us up at 9 in the morning and we picked up Jonathan and drove to the church. Then we had a meeting with home boy Ken about all of our investigators. The baptism was way solid. Jonathans dad came which was clutch. Lan Le and Elder Merrill gave some fire talks. After I asked how he felt and he said he felt lighter! Way cool! And I got to give a shout out to Caroline because she came to the baptism and Nico! So that was dope! Then we ate so much Vietnamese food and then we had interviews with President. I asked him about work field i should go into and i got the business carrier sales pitch.

Sunday was pretty crazy! We went with Solvej and her daughter to a Danish church service and i witnessed my first baby baptism! Elder Merrill and I read Moroni 8 when we got home ;) But it was a good time. Then we went to church and i confirmed Jonathan and then I gave a talk about the prophet. And Lasse came to church so that was chill!! 

And Lasse is doing better. And dont worry i am not going to get wrecked by the bro again. But i am getting him baptized! And Ken and I are gooning together haha! Crazy how much i have grown in a years time! Yeet! And biking is finally getting better after all these crazy hills! And a bro i found with Elder Kennedy is on date for next transfer so I am hoping he will get an answer to his prayers that the church is true! And no update on the Frederiksberg squad.... I know that Sussanna wants to get baptized that she got an answer from God.. So we will see. And i need to ask about Mary Ann. And Monique is doing good. We are still on for a baptism in the ocean in a couple weeks! And health is ight. I am hanging in there. YO!! That is awesome mom is the Relief Society President!  And that is awesome mom is going HAM at church!! And Zach is the dopest bro! I cant wait to see that bro!! And when i am at college i will definatly go see home boy ball!!! And crazy Matthew is home!! Man crazy everyone is coming home!!! That will be exciting.. when is Dallin coming home?? Oh man... i have no idea what restaurant i want to eat at... I will think about that... Probs will be the outback because i miss my American meat! haha! And i think that will be the best idea to have three different homecoming parties! Well that is all i got today fam but you guys are so awesome!! Jeg elsker jer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week #100 Svendborg

Yo fam!! Svendborg is the dopest area ever!! And I totally felt like it was my homecoming yesterday at church! Everyone like lost their minds when they saw me so that was awesome! Oh and we have a baptism on Saturday!! So cool! And i sung the Star spangled banner with a bunch of Veitnamese bros haha stay tuned ;)

So Monday we had an eating appointment with Lan Le or Mor as she calls herself. She is a Vietnamese convert and was baptized like 8 years ago. She made stacks on stacks of Asian food for us and we had our friend Jonathan with who is getting baptized soon! So we ate and then taught Jonathan the law of chastity and the law of tithing and then went through the baptism interview questions. His only concern was about Joseph Smith so we made an appointment for the next day at mors to watch the Joseph Smith film.

So Tuesday we went to a bro named Claus in the ward to do service! The bro lives in the middle of a forest and is like the only house in the forest! Way dope! haha! so we did service and then ate. Then we went to mors where we celebrated her dogs birthday with her whole Vietnamese fam! hahahahahaha! I love their Danish it is like Danish with a way thick Asian accent and they cant pronounce some syllables... haha so it always keeps you on your toes! but they had some karaoke going on and they asked us to sing so we put on the star spangled banner and just got on and put on our American pride and just screamed the national anthem with pride! then we watched the Joseph smith film talked about it, bore testimony, and prayed to find a day for Jonathan to be baptized! We got the 12th of August as the day! so that was cool!

Wednesday we had a pretty interesting day haha! So we get a call from a member who picked up a bro named Lasse....... and i guess Lasse.... might have met missionaries in Herning.... and elder reed might have taught him...... so i was freaking out.... but lasse told the member he wants the missionaries to come teach him again.... so ummm yea... we ask for his address and the bro is in a psych hospital in Svendborg.... so i am freaking out but I told elder Merrill we got to go for it just for the story haha! so we go to this psych ward and we find Lasses room and he isn't there... so we look outside and see the bro! When he sees me he gets way stoked! haha! And the bro looked so much better! It looked like he wasn't smoking all the time and that he was doing better. He wants to meet again and so i set some pretty hard conditions... that he has to hold commitments and read in the Book of Mormon. then the bro gives me 100 krones and pretty much says he screwed  the members in Herning with money and wants to start paying them back!1 That is repentance right there! So we will see where Lasse goes.... haha.  Then we found a bro named Brian who is Christian and understands Christ's role but also loves bear. Then we taught Jonathan and read 3 Nephi 11. After we asked what does he feel and he said that the 12th of August feels right for his baptism!

Thursday I had my trunky meeting which was pretty dope! We got to go to the temple which was sick! I love that place. Then we got some life advice from the O'Bryants. Then i mobbed back to Odense.

Thursday I had coordination meeting with Ken Hall. If you guys remember him. Way fire. Then we ate with an investigator named Solveig which was chill. Then we taught one of the dopest bros ever! His name is Jan and he goes to to Pentacostal church. He was repping a John 3:16 hat and loves Jesus. Then we hear his conversion story and then we get talking about the Book of Mormon and he brings up the typical revelations verse and then i was like there are so many Bibles that are change and he is like well that doesn't matter... contradicting what he was saying.... lolz.... then he pulls out a J Dub bible and says that it is the word of God too. and he said how no one knows what Jehovah name is... and i was like... what is it? Then he says Jehova and we ask to borrow his J Dub Bible and turn to Revelations and wreck the bro and the bro even said we wreck him haha... so that was dope! Then we met with Jonathan and read Alma 32 with him. Just helping the brother grow his faith.

Then Saturday was sport and we played volleyball and i saw Sean, Stephanie, Nico, and Nadia and they all got way stoked to see me! So that was dope! >And then we had District meeting and bounced back to Svendborg and taught Jonathan with a bro who is going on a mission soon about Jesus Christ.

And Sunday was pretty much like my homecoming! The Odense 1 bros got so stoked to see me and when i bore my testimony everyone laughed when they realized I am back! so cool! And i saw home boy Erick Jeppson who served in Moses Lake. The bro is getting married to a French girl!! savage!! So that was my first week in Svendborg and it went soooo fast!!! 

So Elder Merrill hails from Utah and is a way chill bro! We are having a solid time together! And my apartment is a chill one too! But there are a bunch of hills in my area so biking is pretty jank but i will survive! They cant get in contact with Mike and they still need a translator for the Greenland fam. F berg.... so Andreas says he needs a break again... Mary Anne is on date for a couple weeks and David and Susanna came to church the other week! And Monique wants me to baptize her in the ocean! And crazy all those bros are home!!!! Crazy stuff!!! And i got my package!!! I love it!! And i am down to go to Utah when i get back! And the essays are coming!  Love you guys!!!
